PAUL STANLEY DEAHL, CLASS OF 1969, PASSES AWAY IN SOUTH CAROLINA

 



Paul Stanley Deahl, Class of 1969, passed away Wednesday, April 12 in Greenville, South Carolina, where he resided for years.

Paul’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 23 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Greenville.

He was on the 1968 state champ football team with Tom Hulderman. Monongah won state football titles in 1952, 1955, 1968, 1969 and 1973 and in baseball in 1955 with pitcher Frank DeMoss.

He was a 1972 Fairmont State graduate from Carolina and has been married since 2004.

Granddaughter Brianna Robinson posted:

“My papa was the most amazing man in my life. You taught me many lessons that I will carry with me the rest of my life. You showed me that no matter how hard life gets be happy that you have more time to cherish it all the way to the end. I couldn’t ask for a better papa.

“I will definitely miss your never-ending storytimes of the past, our talks about football, all the advice you gave me, your personality, and many more things about you.

“You showed us a great example of how a man should treat his wife and family. You were a role model for many. And I can’t wait to tell your great grandkids about how amazing their papa was.”
