  Nothing can be finer Than to be in Carolina With my daughter And her husband This is a 2023 North Carolina montage of my trip to my daughter Monnie Ann and her husband, Bob, at their 2 nd home in Granite Falls which overlooks Lake Rhodhiss. Grandfather Olesky met Grandfather Mountain, which is 5,946 feet high near Linville, North Carolina. Chimney Rock Mountain, where I stood on the rock after climbing a tall ladder attached to the rock, which was cool. 71 miles from Granite Falls. And a 75-mile view of river, lake and other mountains. Monnie Ann and Bob have a boat dock just across their street and down through the trees to Rhodhiss Lake. Their boat is suspended about 8 feet above the water. Lower it, turn on the engine and take off! Too cold for us to do it when I was there in late March and early April for a week. But it’s good to be home in Tallmadge . . . till the next trip.
