Joyce Carlot’s daughter Julie Beafore, Class of 1971, passes away

Julie Marie Pellillo Beafore, Class of 1971, passed away Thursday, April 6.

Her parents were Joyce Carlot Pellillo, Class of 1952, and Albert Pellillo.

Joyce’s parents were Julie and Gene Carlot, who operated Carlot’s Grill on U.S. 19 near Monongah High School. David was Joyce’s brother.

Julie’s obituary:

Julie Marie (Pellillo) Beafore, 69, of Monongah passed away on Thursday April 6, 2023. She was born in Fairmont on April 29, 1953 daughter of the late Albert and Joyce Carlot Pellillo.

She graduated from Monongah High School in 1971, graduated from Fairmont State College with an associate degree in nursing in 1973. Julie retired from St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home with 43 years of service.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Anthony Jason and Lucretia Beafore of Monongah. She is also survived by her grandsons Sydney Anthony Beafore of Charles, SC and Christopher John Beafore of Monongah. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Kim Pellillo and Jay and Tabitha Pellillo all of Fairmont.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, AJ Beafore in 2021, her daughter Amanda Anne in 2018 and her brother John Pellillo in 2022. She is also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Anthony John and Lucille Dabate Beafore.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home and to Fairmont Medical Center for the care that they gave Julie.

In keeping with Julie’s wishes a private service was held.
