CHERYL KAY "SHERRY" McDONALD, CLASS OF 1966, PASSES AWAY
Cheryl Kay “Sherry” McDonald, Class of
1966, passed away.
Sherry attended the Monongah High Alumni
Banquet in 2016 – Class of 1966 was Honor Class for its 50th
anniversary of graduating from MHS -- and listed her address as Sunrise Street
in Worthington.
Sherry’s Facebook page lists her from
Hutchinson and living in Hutchinson.
Sherry was at the 2006 MHS Banquet for
the 40th anniversary of the Class of 1966.
At Monongah High Sherry was in the Junior
Red Cross, Home Economics Club, Knitting Club, Glee Club, Fashion Show and
Variety Show.
Sherry was former Marion County Commission Marion County Senior Aides project director.
She is a Fairmont State graduate and a big-time North Marion High booster.
Erin Colleen Sailor, Sherry’s niece who lives in Worthington, posted:
“You were the defender of this family. Not even death can break
the bond we had as Aunt and Niece. You were the most stunning individual of our
lives! You left your strides here so we can follow them for the remainder of
our lives. I love you.”
Roseann Orwig, Class of 1969, posted:
”I have known her since we were just kids and our dads both worked at Fairmont Supply. Very warm and friendly every time we saw each other.”
Sidney
Megna was on the North Marion basketball team that won the 2022 sectional.
Nick Megna of Worthington posted:
“I know how proud she was of her family and what you have accomplished. She made the world and everyone around her better and will be missed by so many.”
